Cajun Duck Derby for the National Air, Sea & Space "Cajun" Memorial Scholarship

On April 15, 2023 Papa Joe and Mama D attended the Cajun Duck Derby in Cocoa Beach, FL to help raise funds for the Cajun Memorial Scholarship that is managed by the National Air, Sea & Space Foundation.

Every year this scholarship is awarded to a student from Florida Institute of Technology that is in need of help pursuing a future in aviation. We are very excited to be a part of this process and Cajun’s Aviation Dream was also able to support with a $444.00 donation.

Congratulations to the past Cajun Scholarship Recipients!

2019: Gabriella Ferra

2020: Ryan King

2021: Monte Rodriguez

2022: Ricardo Miller

2023: Announcement pending

In addition to the donation we had Thunderbird 4: Maj. Lauren “Threat” Schlichting, her Dedicated Crew Chief: SSgt Jessica Krystof & Assistant Dedicated Crew Chief: SSgt Joshua McClurg draw 4 ducks to receive a Discovery Flight at a flight school near them. Congratulations to the recipients & enjoy the world of flight!
