Cajun's Aviation Dream 2024 Scholarship Recipients & Fundraiser Details
It’s that time again!!! Every year on April 4th we announce our scholarship winners in honor of Cajun’s angelversary. This year we were able to award 11 scholarships to the following recipients:
Discovery Flight Awards - Wyatt Slee of CA, Bella Griffith of MS, & Eiler Swain of TX
*This award is intended to familiarize a prospective student with the flying environment.
Fly with Cajun Awards - Kiera Grange of NV, Anna Williams of FL, Carter Vaughan of IA, Jessica Heaton of HI, Ryan Campana of WI, & Tristen Leo of CA
*This is a $500.00 award for the recipient to use towards flight training. The recipient must be enrolled in a flight program.
EAA Advanced Air Academy Campers - Lucas Garcia of NM (Currently stationed in Germany), & Ella Lucas of CA

We will also be having our “Day of Flight” Fundraiser on April 6, 2024 from 10am-2pm at the Aviation Museum of Santa Paula (800 E Santa Maria St # E, Santa Paula, CA 93060). This is a family friendly event and we have a lot of fun things in store including Discovery Flights *weather permitting, NASA pilot Hernan Posada will be there, book signings by former Thunderbird #3 pilot, Caroline “Blaze” Jensen & Lisa Bolt Simons, Author/Daughter to fallen Thunderbird #4 slot pilot (1972) - Capt. Jerry Bolt. We will have face painting by Diana Ornelas, coloring, Lego airplanes, swag & raffle prizes along with a very special dedication to the museum. It is going to be epic, don’t miss it!
If you can’t join us on April 6th but still want to help raise money for our scholarship fund you can make a donation on our website at https://cajunsaviationdream.org/donate-1 or participate in Cajun’s Climb which is a virtual hike fundraiser from April 4 - April 30th. Simply register on our website at https://cajunsaviationdream.org/hiker-registration-form and go for a hike wherever you’d like. The funds that we raise throughout April & the year help us award scholarships to stellar young people in pursuit of their aviation related goals.
